Specimen data for Sicklerite

Tom Mortimer catalog number: 1725

Identification method: Visual.
The IMA discredited sicklerite as a species in 2022. It is now regarded as a lithium deficient lithiophilite.
Field collected by Bob Janules. The primary phosphate at the Chandler Mine is lithiophilite. Weathering of lithiophilite yields sicklerite. For comparison, at the Palermo Mine, weathering of triphylite yields ferrisicklerite.
